We’re all about safety and good form in every exercise. We’ll watch you carefully as you perform each exercise and teach you the safest way to lift weights.

We work collaboratively with doctors, physical therapists, and dietitians to ensure your long-term health and well-being goals are achieved. 

We come to you and will train you in your home or building gym. We create fun and challenging workouts with the equipment you have available.

Meet Our Founder

Alina Kennedy is originally from Australia and started her career as a physiotherapist after graduating from the University of South Australia in 2011. For over a decade, she worked hands-on with patients as a clinical physical therapist, specializing in women’s health and wellbeing, helping them recover from injuries and manage pain.

During her practice, Alina witnessed firsthand the powerful benefits of weight training. Beyond aiding in recovery from significant ailments, it also helps protect the body against the natural wear-and-tear and stress of life and aging. However, Alina noticed that women tend to engage in strength training far less than men, despite women experiencing unique hormonal changes during pregnancy, childbirth, and menopause that weaken muscles and bones. This fueled her passion to empower women, particularly as they age, to adopt more strength training in order to maintain robust, resilient bodies that support a full and active life.

In 2022, Alina relocated to New York City and founded Bloom Fitness with a clear mission: to empower women to build strong bodies that allow them to live healthy vibrant lives. Today, Alina and her team at Bloom Fitness specialize in meeting the specific needs of women over 50, focusing on strengthening bones, developing muscular capabilities, and fostering overall body resilience.
